This is perhaps one of the most famous examples of Scottish architect
Robert Adams' Georgian style of architecture.
A recent refurbishment of numbers 26 to 31 to become the National Trust
for Scotland's Head Quarters was undertaken by Edinburgh Architects Simpson
and Brown with Sir Robert McAlpine as the main contractor. Draftseal undertook
the refurbishment of all windows and shutters including the replacement
of all astragals to the front elevation.
Other properties in this famous square that Draftseal have serviced and
draughtproofed is the Roxburghe Hotel, 5 Charlotte Square the old Trust
offices, the Georgian House and finally house numbers 24 and 25.
